Burst down those closet doors once and for all …

Harvey Milk (1930-1978)

We, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people living in Poland, aren’t yet treated as citizens equal to others in dignity and rights. It’s unjust and negatively affects the quality of our lives. But, as is well known, when LGBT people come out and those around them get to know them as real human beings, society’s support for their human rights decidedly grows. Therefore, the goal of this project is to encourage coming out and facilitate the task, so that we gain an unquestionable support for our equal rights from a clear majority of the society. It’s possible in a relatively short time. Then more politicians will take our rights into account in their calculations and a chance will appear of introducing legal regulations ensuring our equal treatment in all spheres of life.

The reflections presented here may be a source of inspiration for both ourselves and our allies we meet in daily life. Let’s speak out together in favour of justice.
